A lover of books, Joan A. de Bruin has made up stories since she was a child. Blending writing and art, she uses duality, metaphor, common sayings, fables and fairy tales to enrich her children and adult fiction. She is at work on an adult suspense novel, Life/Line, and a family story, The Christmas Tree Angel, both set in Los Angeles. And, working on a new paint series, Eyes in the Universe. Joan A. de Bruin is the former Director of the L.A. Craft & Folk Art Museum, Founder of artbridgegallery.com, fiction writer, studio artist, and art educator.
