This is an inspiring book which contains a compilation of women's stories who have triumphed though a diagnosis of breast cancer and who have had breast reconstruction. Their beautiful results are depicted in photos taken by Scott Walz. The book was written to raise awareness of the importance of breast reconstruction in breast cancer patients. The "Pearls" section describes how and why different methods of breast reconstruction are used to reconstruct an aesthetically pleasing breast with minimal downtime.

Author Biography

Sandra Bouzaglou, MD, FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon and has been in private solo practice in Lexington, Kentucky since 1990. She graduated from UCLA and then from The Chicago Medical school. She subsequently completed a 2 year fellowship in plastic surgery at The University of Kentucky. She specializes in Breast augmentation/reduction/reconstuction, Body contouring, and facial aesthetic procedures. Scott Walz is a Lexington, Kentucky based photograher who began working professionally at the age of sixteen. In college he initially majored in engineering, but eventually succumbed to his joy of photography. The study of physics and optics combined well with his study of art and design. Scott and his wife Valorie established their own business in Lexington in 1992. Since then Studio Walz, Inc. has grown steadily and they are thankful for the support of their many loyal customers.
