This monumental work indexes New Jersey wills and probate records from 1663 through 1900. It contains more than 185,000 entries, arranged alphabetically under the name of the testator and intestate for each of the twenty-one present-day counties of New Jersey, with the number of the will, the year of probate, and references to papers and records connected therewith. Also included at the back of the third volume are indexes to unrecorded wills and New Jersey prerogative wills. This publication is a reprint of the very scarce limited edition of 1912-13, as published by the State of New Jersey, and it includes a Foreword by the late Dr. Stryker-Rodda, distinguished genealogist and one-time president of the Genealogical Society of New Jersey.
