Khartoum Medical Students' Association (KMSA) is one of the most successful student associations in Sudan and one of the oldest and leading student associations in Africa. Author Biography

Dr Ahmed MSK Hashim (MBBS, MRCP (UK), MSc, FHEA) is currently working as a gastroenterology & hepatology trainee in the UK. He obtained MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine-University of Khartoum in 2008, having served as a member of the executive committee of the Khartoum Medical Students' Association (KMSA) between 2004 & 2005, when he was also the chair of the Documentation Committee of the Association. Dr Hashim has always been interested in the history of the extracurricular activities of the medical students of University of Khartoum since that time.
