He is honorary member of the International Society of Forensic Genetics and has served in many boards of scientific societies and journals.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eNádia Pinto\u003c\/b\u003e is Associate Researcher at the Institute for Research \u0026amp; Innovation in Health of the University of Porto. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, and her research has been focused on the development of mathematical models and software for a wide range of research problems in the field of population genetics, specifically forensic genetics.
